The Question on Everyone's Mind...

I don't know about all of you, but ever since Obama accepted the DNC nomination, I've been dying to know what type of dog he might bring to the White House.

It's a fair and reasonable question, and one I'm sure has been on everybody's mind, since I've seen it appear on the news no less than five times since October... All of America, in fact, has burned to know: Will it be Dachshund? Labrador? Chow Chow? ...or will it be Boerboel? Bolognese? Japanese Spitz?

We certainly have a right to know these things, as our taxpayer dollars will be hard at work employing someone to take care of this dog (because no child ten or under since the dawn of time ever took care of that new dog like they said they would). And since the Obamas have plenty of staffers, why not let them handle it?

Now the world can breathe a sigh of relief and I can concentrate on writing this blog, because the media finally produced an answer to the Obama Dog inquiry: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29405423/.

You've got to hand it to the Obamas, also, for choosing to get a dog from a rescue shelter. All those poor little Portuguese Water dogs sitting in shelters must be licking and grooming themselves in anticipation, singing "It's a Hard Knock Life"--so hopeful to be free from the clutches of the evil Miss Hannigan. There surely will be a difficult decision for the Obamas as to which of the thousands of rescue Portuguese Water dogs to choose from... I vote they name their dog "Sandy"--just the sentimental side of me coming out.

I want everyone reading this to know that I care more about Obama's dog than I've ever cared about anything, including peace in the Middle East and the toppling economy.

Now all I need to know is: is the former "Obama Dog" going to be jealous? http://www.obamadog.com/.
