"Change Is Upon Us!"

Thought you'd be interested in the following video clip (about 4 minutes). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82Ppbz6nSvw

Lou Dobbs: "There is no moral imperative whatsoever in Washington DC to constrain spending..." While I do not necessarily argue with adding taxes to cigarettes to pay for government programs, I do believe the money could be better spent. As with all large government programs, this one has obvious loopholes and is very costly. Why are they writing bills to spend MORE money than we already are, anyway? I would be more likely to support a bill that educates Americans on saving money so they can purchase their own health care (and not guising a high-costing bill that will foster government codependency as a big-hearted government gesture). Paralyzing people so they are inable to make their own choices is not big-hearted, it's short-sighted.

Just to assure you I'm not a villian working to keep innocent children from getting healthcare, I will add that in my work with juvenile delinquents and their parents, I've seen first-hand that many low-income families do not spend money on healthcare because they choose to spend it instead on purebred puppies, videogames and other non-necessities. These people need help, yes. But not in the form of money.

And why the government thinks illegal aliens have a right to government money is completely beyond me. It seems like all sense has gone out the window.

Change is definately upon us!
